Our client, a global beauty house, is looking for an experienced National Account Manager to join their team!

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for managing the company’s relationships with major national retailer accounts and growing the stable of brands sold across the North American market. MUST HAVE SELL IN SEPHORA EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!

Location-REMOTE, Based out of LA
Salary-Up to $125K DOE 

Who You Are:
  • Responsible for maintaining customer relationships and implementing sales plans to achieve targeted results for Sephora.
  • Lead joint business planning as well as conducts monthly business reviews with Sephora key decision makers.  Plans and conducts regular face-to-face meetings with Sephora buyers, and serves as the direct contact for all sales-related inquiries.
  • Review weekly/monthly sell-in/sell-out performance for Sephora identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Execute portfolio/brand expansions and oversees new product launches.
  • Champion healthy account P&Ls to ensure viability and sustainability of short and long-term programs and initiatives.
  • Partner with brand and marketing teams to plan and execute solid trade marketing strategies and programs, defining strategic brand and SKU assortment as well as appropriate planogram and merchandising to have a strong representation in Sephora. Ensure excellence in execution of all commercial activations.
  • Initiate all seasonal gondola VM updates, working with marketing and VM to ensure all updates are executed in a timely manner with attention paid to the time constraints of marketing exposures. Pursue meaningful secondary in-store visual opportunities to ensure maximum exposure.
  • Review product assortment and sales to determine what assortment changes will positively impact sales while remaining profitable.  Conduct bottoms-up forecasting by category to inform sales opportunities and associated investments to achieve sales goals and annual budget planning.
  • Accurately forecast retail sales by channel by week and revise the estimate monthly to reflect plans and trend.  Maintain side-by-side calendar planning that tracks weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales relative to marketing and commercialization initiatives that are synchronized with forecasting exercises.
  • Monitor stock levels by store, including new product launches, management of stock & sales plans and negotiate/secure timely OTB.  Ensure timely order delivery to each store and online.
  • Resolve order and inventory issues by analyzing data, identifying alternative solutions, and notifying internal team and Sephora stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with marketing, customer service, and other supply chain teams to forecast product demand and maintain service levels.
  • Understand the needs of field teams, conducting regular store visits to identify requirements.
  • Prepare activity approval forms and closely monitors budgets.
  • Conduct in-depth sales analysis to understand nuances and trends of the business and extract actionable insights and competitive landscape to further propel retail and net sales. 
Who You Are:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Sales/key account manager’s role for a main retailer, preferably in the beauty or CPG industry.
• Experience with Sephora required
• Proven success working with retailers, managing daily business needs and identifying new opportunities
• Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to interact and present to top management and external clients and agencies
• Ability to translate market insight to business strategy and drive implementable plans
• Ability to present sales strategy, and execute on plans
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present and explain sales information clearly and confidently
• Ability to think strategically and create a bigger picture vision while also executing that vision
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Highly organized and able to see multiple projects through completion
