Hiring: Environmental DesignerOur client is a well known NYC based design studio is seeking Environmental Designers to join their team as a staff employee. They cover all types of environmental / spatial design ranging from exhibits, experiential, retail and hospitality to name a few.
Must have an Architectual background andstrength in Rhino and AutoCAD
Location: NYC Hybrid (3 days onsite 2 remote)
Salary: $70,000-90,000
- Design and layout of environmental graphics for large format printing with some knowledge of fabrication and materiality.
- Communicate and collaborate frequently with staff members from other departments—to understand the substantive, interpretive, and informational goals of exhibitions, publications, and other projects and to create appropriate designs for them.
- Collaborate with colleagues on a variety of graphic deliverables, as well as outside vendors. Assuring quality and maintaining deadlines. Work well within deadline parameters, completing projects in a timely manner.
- Study design briefs and determine requirements
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
- Adhere to and develop to brand style guides
- Amend designs after feedback
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
